Sophie looks very like the dear little dog I had as a child. She is lovely and I hope she can stay a NERD (no evidence of recurring disease) for as long as possible.
I love the pictures of all of you out on the water in the boat. Sophie was always up for adventure – and you gave her many wonderful ones.
I appreciate the perspective of the Circle of Life – yet I know she leaves behind such an obvious and painful absence, and I know how heavy that burden feels emotionally and even physically. There will come a day, though, when you laugh – and I mean really laugh – about something she did and you will feel the weight lift. As painful as the grief is now, your eleven beautiful years with her are so worth it. Rest in peace, Sophie!
Hi-
I’m not sure if you still check this blog but I came across it and was touched. My dog is at the end stages of TCC and I’m having a terrible time. Was wondering if you could talk.
Thanks,
Julie
